“It was very nice. It was the first time that I opened a special at 100%. We worked well with Mathieu. It was not easy, challenging and I think we did very well. out”, Guillaume explains to us.

“We had some problems to deal with, notably engine overheating,” he concedes. “We were first on the road behind the motorcycles. There are a lot of bushes that we come to hit, it’s specific to the Bisha region. All the leaves got into our radiator. We had to stop twice to remove them. We wasted a bit of time with that. The cars were badly damaged on arrival but this is typical of the region with the many obstacles to cross. And like many, we had our digital roadbook cut off. I didn’t know where I was going. Mathieu was supposed to give me some information. It wasn’t easy but we did well.”

“We reacted well at the right time,” continues Gregory’s son. “We also have a good result for tomorrow since we only lose 5:37 on the leaders and we are 11th on the road. It’s perfect for tomorrow because the motorbikes won’t open the road tomorrow and that will be a real challenge. We had already experimented with this last year but it was in the Empty Quarter. Tomorrow there will only be 17%. It will be real sailing. We’re really happy with our position.”
