A few days of break to celebrate Christmas with family allowed us to recharge the batteries. But since then, HC Ajoie has seriously gotten back to work. “And we are very excited to start this year 2025 with a great performance in Davos,” says Kevin Fey.
“It’s not very usual to have several days off in a row, so when we put on our skates again it’s always important to get back into the swing of things, to avoid injuries. But we’re all professionals, during these days we are already thinking about what’s next”, continues the captain.
A different approach
However, the approach is a little different during this period: “At the rink we work hard, with a lot of concentration, but what changes is that once we get home we can relax a little more than usual because we know that we don’t have a match right away, but the training is a little more intense than during a period when we have a lot of matches,” continues Kevin Fey.
Will the Jura efforts pay off? A first response will be given this Friday, with the resumption of the championship in Davos. Is such a long trip for a recovery a bad deal? “We would perhaps have preferred to play at home but we know that at this time we are playing at home either on December 23 or January 2. No matter the destination, traveling is never easy. Davos is is just a little further away We will have to be aware of certain things, notably the altitude, and adapt the game plan a little,” emphasizes Kevin Fey.
