Arriving in a little less than a year ago from La Gantoise for a check for 14 million euros, Gift Orban will no longer wear the OL jersey. Since this Thursday evening, the Lyon club officially announced the transfer of the Nigerian striker to Hoffenheim.

“Olympique Lyonnais announces the transfer of its striker Gift Orban to the German club Hoffenheim. The amount of the operation amounts to €9 million, accompanied by a maximum bonus of €3 million (including €1 million guaranteed) and an incentive of 7.5% on the capital gain of a potential future transfer. Recruited during the last winter transfer window from the Belgian club La Gantoise, Gift Orban played 21 matches with OL in 2024. Not too much in Pierre Sage's plans this season, knowing that the Lyon coach prefers Alexandre Lacazette or Georges Mikautadze, Orban will therefore discover the German championship in 2025.
