OFFICIAL – Westerlo announces departure

We have already mentioned it: a lot will happen at KVC Westerlo during the next transfer window. The club wants to get out financially, which means it wants to reduce the wage bill. The club has already announced a departure, even if the player only landed at Kuip last summer.

Agreement with Fenerbahçe

“KVC Westerlo and Fenerbahçe have agreed that Emir Ortakaya will continue his career elsewhere. The versatile defender will leave Kuip after a six-month stay with our club,” Westerlo said. “Emir joined the Campinois last summer. He left Turkish club Fenerbahçe on a rental deal. This season, Emin participated in 5 matches, including 3 as a starter. He also provided an assist. KVC Westerlo would like to thank Emir for his commitment and contribution during his stay at our club. We wish him much success in the rest of his career.”

Other transfers in progress

Westerlo is not idle. Bryan Reynolds is also on his way out but offers are slow in coming. Furthermore, the club is looking for a new goalkeeper and there is a possibility that other players will leave the club. Boys like Tuur Rommens, Griffin Yow and others are also on the market. Indeed, it is also important for Westerlo to fill the cash register.
