The work of decision-makers at the Montreal Canadiens is recognized within professional sport in North America.

According to a survey published by The Athleticthe Habs management team meets at 42e rank of the four major professional sports leagues in North America and 11e rank in the National Hockey League (NHL) based on responses collected from 40 administrators and coaches.
The CH is ahead of all Canadian teams who obtained at least one vote in the rankings, including the Edmonton Oilers (54e), the Winnipeg Jets (57e), the Vancouver Canucks (64e) and the Toronto Maple Leafs (70e).
“There are no half measures with Kent Hughes. He does his job. I think they (the CH decision-makers) have a good plan,” an assistant general manager of a mystery team told The Athletic.
It is the Dallas Stars who occupy first place among teams on the Bettman circuit and fifth place overall among North American sports teams. They are ahead of the Tampa Bay Lightning (7e) and the Florida Panthers (9e) which are also found in the top-10.
The Calgary Flames and Ottawa Senators were unable to crack the top-70, receiving no votes.
The staff of the Oklahoma City Thunder in the NBA comes first in the list ahead of the Los Angeles Dodgers in the MLB and the Baltimore Ravens in the NFL.
The Tampa Bay Rays (MLB), the Boston Celtics (NBA), the Kansas City Chiefs (NFL) and the San Francisco 49ers (NFL) also obtained a mention in the top-10.
