New legal setback for Barça in the Dani Olmo affair. After the Barcelona Commercial Court rejected, last Friday, the request for precautionary measures to allow the registration of Olmo, another judge refused again, this Tuesday, December 30, to grant this possibility. FC Barcelona’s goal was to reach a solution before December 31, when Dani Olmo will no longer be allowed to play in La Liga. And therefore also in the Champions League since UEFA regulations ensure that a player must be registered in the league where his club plays to participate in the European competition. If LaLiga considers that the income generated is not sufficient, the only viable solution could be to offer a personal guarantee, like what was done for Koundé, João Félix or Cancelo.
