Union SG could enter the transfer market in January. The people of Brussels are reportedly looking for a goalkeeper, which is not really a surprise.
Yehvann Diouf
According to information from Africafoot, the Union has Yehvann Diouf in its sights. This 25-year-old goalkeeper plays at Stade de Reims and has already played no less than 16 matches this season (19 goals conceded).
The Franco-Senegalese goalkeeper could leave his club if a suitable offer is sent. The Union and other interested clubs will, however, have to pay a large sum because the value of the goalkeeper is still estimated at 9 million euros.
Note that Reims is a club where Mogi Bayat has often done business in the past. We also know that he worked quite a bit with the Union. Is he behind this possible transfer? It’s not impossible.
The arrival of a new goalkeeper is necessary
It’s not a big surprise that the Brussels club wants to recruit a new goalkeeper. After all, Anthony Moris is already 34 years old and the Luxembourg goalkeeper is not always the most reassuring.
Last summer, the Union also tried to recruit Arnaud Bodard, via… Bayat, but the Standard goalkeeper was not enthusiastic about the idea of joining Sébastien Pocognoli’s team.
