Liverpool is having a more than fantastic season. One man plays a major role: Mohamed Salah, the pharaoh of Anfield who mocks all the laws of football, as the statistics below show.
Salah, a crazy series of goals and assists
Salah is on a crazy streak in terms of goals scored or assists delivered. With his goal against Leicester City on Thursday, he has now scored or assisted in 10 consecutive Premier League games.
The 32-year-old Egyptian is now the first player to achieve this feat three times. Previously, Salah had done so between August and December of the year 2021 and between April and September of the year 2023.
100 goals at Anfield for Salah
The goal against Leicester allowed Salah to take another important step. It was his hundredth home Premier League goal. This makes him the fourth player to achieve this goal.
This places Salah at the table of legends like Alan Shearer (Newcastle United), Thierry Henry (Arsenal) and Sergio Agüero (Manchester City). For this, it took them 91, 113 and 125 matches respectively. Salah did it in 142 matches.
As per the list below, Salah managed to edge Henry in another stat. The striker has now provided more goals and assists for Liverpool than Henry did for Arsenal.
The Egyptian superstar has now been involved in 250 goals, while the Frenchman has been involved in 249 Arsenal goals.
Salah on the verge of winning the European Golden Shoe?
Salah’s goal puts him in another great list. The dribbler is one of five players to have scored 200 times or more in one of Europe’s five biggest competitions in the last 10 seasons. Robert Lewandowski (279), Harry Kane (239), Lionel Messi (210) and Kylian Mbappé (201) are the 4 other players who achieved this feat.
Salah scored his 16th Premier League goal of the season. This places him at the top of the league scorers in the top five European leagues, alongside Barcelona’s Pole Robert Lewandowski (also 16 goals).
