To celebrate the Christmas holidays, an international player playing in Serie A posted a photo of himself with his companion at the foot of the tree. His coming out took place in early 2023.
Almost two years after becoming the first active international to come out, Jakub Jantko, player for Cagliari in Serie A and 45 caps with the Czech Republic, also wished a Merry Christmas to his subscribers on his social network Instagram .

“We wish you a Merry Christmas,” the 28-year-old wrote on his social media, alongside a photo of him and his boyfriend kissing in front of a lit Christmas tree. Having played for Udinese, Sampdoria and Getafe in Spain, Jantko announced his homosexuality in February 2023.
“Like everyone else. I also want to live my life in complete freedom. Without fear. Without prejudice. Without violence. BUT with love. I am homosexual and I no longer want to hide” he wrote in particular. The Czech international then received numerous messages of support, notably from Real Madrid and AC Milan.
