Returning to play after an absence of almost three months, Anthony Duclair contributed with an assist to the New York Islanders' 6-3 victory against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday night.
Duclair was injured during a game against the Montreal Canadiens on October 19, when he suffered a nasty fall after contact with Jayden Struble.
For his return, Duclair spent 14 min 34 sec on the ice. He now has 4 points in 6 games since joining the Islanders. The Quebec forward was employed in the first trio with Brock Nelson and Kyle Palmieri.
It was only the second time this season that Patrick Roy's men scored six goals in a game.
The Islanders took a 3-1 lead in the 1st period thanks to goals from Maxim Tsyplakov, Bo Horvat and Jean-Gabriel Pageau.
Horvat scored twice, while defender Isaiah George scored the first goal of his career in his 20th career match.
Matthew Barzal completed the scoring in an empty net.
The Maple Leafs were without the services of Auston Matthews, who is battling a recurring upper body injury.
William Nylander remained at the height of the fight for the Maurice-Richard Trophy with two goals, his 22nd and 23rd of the season. Leon Draisatil of the Oilers leads the way with 24th goal this season.
Bobby McCann was the other scorer for the Leafs who won the day before by a score of 6-3 against the Buffalo Sabres.
Hellebuyck takes care of the game
Connor Hellebuyck recorded his fourth shutout of the season and the Jets swept their season series against the Minnesota Wild, winning 5-0 in Winnipeg.
Hellebuyck blocked 19 pucks to win. His four shutouts place him alone in first place on the circuit in this regard.
Cole Perfetti also shined in the victory with a goal and two assists. Nikolaj Ehlers, Morgan Barron, Neal Pionk and Vladislav Namestnikov were the other scorers for the local favorites.
In his fifth NHL game, Jesper Wallstedt gave up five times on 24 shots for the Wild, who suffered a fourth straight loss. With a victory, he would have moved to within one point of the Jets and first place in the overall NHL standings.
Hischier shines in a Devils victory
Nico Hischier had a goal and two assists to help the New Jersey Devils defeat the Pittsburgh Penguins, 3-0.
Jacob Markstrom made 12 saves, earning his second shutout of the season and 22nd of his career.
Stefan Noesen and Timo Meier also voiced the siren.
Noesen set a career high with his 15th goal of the season.
New Jersey lost just once in five games as the club allowed 20 shots or fewer in a sixth straight game.
Owen Tippett plays hero for Philly

Tippett finished the game with four points.
Morgan Frost scored a double. His teammates Noah Cates and Tyson Foerster also hit the mark. Travis Konecny had three goals, and Samuel Ersson stopped 21 shots.
Mathieu Olivier and Mikael Pyyhtia gave the Blue Jackets a fleeting two-goal lead. Kirill Marchenko and Jake Christiansen also found the back of the net.
