If 1,181 international matches were played in 2024 – a record for a calendar year – only 21 matches have taken place since the publication of the last FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking in November. As a result, there are few changes in this December edition.

As in 2023, Argentina (1re) ends up on top. (2nd) and Spain (3rd) complete the podium for 2024. England (4th) Brazil (5th), Portugal (6th), the Netherlands (7th), Belgium ( 8th), Italy (9th) and Germany (10th) maintain their rank in the Top 10. Moreover, no movement is to be reported in the Top 100.

By climbing two ranks, Vietnam (114th, +2) made the best progression in terms of places. For its part, Hong Kong, China (155th, +1) collects the greatest number of points (+4.18) and moves up one place.

Ten other teams out of the 211 ranked end the year on a positive note: Gambia (125th, +1), India (126th, +1), Solomon Islands (147th, +1), Lesotho (149th, +1). 1), Singapore (160th, +1), Cuba (163rd, +1), Saint Lucia (167th, +1), Malta (168th, +1), American Samoa (187th, +1) and Gibraltar (196th, +1).

The team having played the most matches in 2024 (21), Angola (85th) can boast of having made the best progress over the past year. By climbing 32 places compared to 2023, the Palancas Negras are doing better than Jordan (64th, +23), and Fiji (148th, +20).

The next FIFA/Coca-Cola Men's World Rankings will be published on April 3, 2025.
