The Baltimore Ravens have released wide receiver Diontae Johnson ahead of Saturday's big game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The veteran was acquired from the Carolina Panthers earlier this season, but he had just one reception in four games with Baltimore.
Johnson was suspended one game by the team for refusing to enter the game against the Philadelphia Eagles on December 1. He was excused from Ravens activities last week before ultimately being cut.
They also activated the names of running back Desmond King and wide receiver Anthony Miller for the meeting.
If Pittsburgh (10-4) wins, the Steelers will win their first division title since 2020. If Baltimore (9-5) wins, the Ravens will join the Steelers atop the North Division and have a 45% chance of winning the division , according to ESPN Analytics.
Additionally, the Ravens have announced that Nelson Agholor will not be available for the game, which could leave them with an inexperienced group of receivers heading into a crucial game.
The team was hoping Agholor could be exempt from the concussion protocol for the game.
Starting wide receiver Rashod Bateman remains questionable due to a foot injury. He did not practice Thursday as he walked around the locker room with a protective boot.
