Christian Luyindama has been without a club since the start of 2024, and has not played football for more than two years. The career of the central defender who passed through Standard seems to be behind him.
The last time Christian Luyindama (30 years old) played football, it was November 6, 2022 under the colors of Antalyaspor. It was already more than two years, therefore, before he slipped to the bench in Antalya, and experienced a completely blank season at Galatasaray upon his return from loan.
Since January 1, 2024, Luyindama has been free from any contract, and has not signed for a new club. After more than two years without playing, he seems to have completely left his playing career behind him and completely converted to another field.
Sudinfo reports that the ex-“Boss” of Standard, who thrilled Sclessin with his post-match songs, has become a businessman in his country, the Democratic Republic of Congo. He opened various businesses in Kinshasa, his hometown.
Luyindama recently has a specialized clinic, described as “well-equipped and compliant with international standards”. The former Congolese international (23 caps) makes the best use of the money earned during his career to help the DRC develop.
Officially, Christian Luyindama, who will only be 31 years old next January, has not yet ended his football career. However, he has not mentioned a return to business since last May and an interview given to The Last Hour in which he assured that he would consider a return to Standard if management contacted him.
