Faced with the very poor results of his team in the Bosnian first division, bottom at mid-championship, the president of FK Sloboda Tuzla fired his coach but also all the players.

A radical decision. President of FK Sloboda Tuzla, bottom of the Bosnian first division, Azmir Husić has decided to fire all his players and his coach mid-championship. The team in place had only taken two points after 17 matches, with only five goals scored, being 19 units from first non-relegation.

The season resumes on February 15. “So far, around seven players have come to sign the dismissals, and I hope that the others will do so in the coming days,” Azmir Husić told the local press, admitting that his general announcement was for him “one of the most difficult days” to live.

The club in a complicated financial situation

Inducted as president last October, Azmir Husić is also faced with a complicated financial situation since the club’s account is still blocked. “This makes operation even more difficult,” commented Husić. “We don’t even know how many blockages have been accumulated anymore.”

“At one point it was said that the amounts involved were lower, but after depositing the money we received information that these amounts were significantly larger, and therefore the account is still blocked,” Husić added about this bad financial situation.

Despite everything, Azmir Husić is not counting on a package for the rest of the season. The manager hopes to be able to rebuild a team in the coming weeks. 16 matches are still on the menu to avoid relegation, which looks like a mission impossible. “I think we can definitely form a better team than the one that took two points, even recruiting only from Tuzla Canton or the Bosnian Federation First League,” concluded Azmir Husić.
