Deion Sanders insists he won’t leave the NCAA

The University of Colorado Buffaloes finished the NCAA regular season with a 9-3 record in the highly competitive Big-12 and just days away from the Alamo Bowl, which will serve as the swan song for several star players in team, including Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter, speculation surrounding the future of eccentric coach Deion Sanders is rife.

After all, “Prime Time” has been associated with every NFL job opening since completing the transformation of the Boulder, Colorado, football program.

The former star player, both offensively and defensively, is a very popular name and with the departure of his two sons (Shilo and Shedeur) to the NFL during the next draft, many observers believed that his experience in the NCAA would also end immediately.

“I love Boulder,” Sanders said on former NFL player Pacman Jones’ podcast. I have every intention of being the coach here for a good while. I want to finish my project. I want to plant my flag. I want my name carved on mountains here. I want to leave my mark in Colorado. »

Always very generous with his colorful remarks, Sanders had never drawn a definitive line regarding his future as coach of the Buffaloes.

If his passionate climb to Jones’ microphone is any indication, he seems to be enjoying the NCAA.

But a tempting offer arrived so quickly in the NFL. The Cowboys, for example, could try to repatriate their former star with a contract that is difficult to refuse.
