FIFA settles in Rabat. According to sources close to the matter, cited by Hesport, the international Football body should soon open a regional headquarters near the Mohammed VI Football Complex in Maâmoura.
According to the same sources, the signing ceremony of the “protocol” of understanding for the establishment of this headquarters was held this Monday, December 16, on the sidelines of the Confederation of African Football awards (CAF Awards) , scheduled this evening at the Palais des Congrès in Marrakech.
The ceremony will see the participation of eminent figures from the political and sporting world, including representatives of FIFA, the Confederation of African Football (CAF), as well as senior Moroccan officials.
At the same time, intensive meetings are planned today between members of FIFA and the CAF Executive Committee, before the launch of the CAF Awards 2024 ceremony, organized by the Kingdom of Morocco for the third consecutive year. This is part of efforts to strengthen Morocco’s position as a global sports center in Africa.
