Departmental 3.- After the match of December 1st away to Lescure postponed due to Telethon, the match of December 7th, against Vernet, also postponed due to bad weather, here, this Sunday, the catch-up meeting between Lescure II and USM counting for the 8th day of the Departmental 3 championship has been canceled again. Unfortunately, the rain of the night and morning had left the terrain soggy, at the limit of the passable area. In agreement with the two coaches, the referee decided to postpone this match citing the preservation of the health of the players by avoiding possible injuries and the need to preserve the condition of the pitch. Thus, USM will not have played a match since November 16 and should resume competition on December 21, in a make-up match at Vernet, a little over a month without having played. USM will have to win to get back into second place before the end of year holidays. The resumption is set for January 11, 2025 with the reception of Laroque-d’Olmes II.
In the meantime, the direct competitors in the first places escape the ranking: 1st. Saint-Girons 19pts (6V, 1N, 1D), 2nd. Laroque-d’Olmes 16 points (5V, 1N, 1D), 3rd. Le Mas-d’Azil 13 points (4V, 1N, 1D). The Greens and Whites, however, have two games less than Saint-Girons and one game less than Laroque-d’Olmes.
The U14s received, on the grounds of Castagnès, their counterparts from Saint-Girons. Even though they lost 3-8, they offered some nice moves and scored some nice goals. In any case, learning continues for this group which is constantly making progress.
Always incivility.- Supporters and residents of Mas d’Azil were able to notice that the frisbee and football teams train on the abbey grounds and that USM home matches are until further notice scheduled for Sunday at 3 p.m. hours. This modification is due to the fact that the cables of the four lighting poles of the Castagnès stadium were deliberately cut. An act which reinforces the number of incivilities that are already far too great in the town.
