The Royal Moroccan Federation of Sports for People with Disabilities organized the finals of the Throne Cup for team games, in the competitions of Football for amputees, football for the deaf and mute, sitting volleyball and wheelchair Basketball. rolling for the 2023-2024 sporting season.
The final phases took place at the Indoor Hall of the Ibn Rochd Sports Complex in Rabat and at the Moulay Rachid National Sports Institute in Salé.
The final of the Throne Cup football for amputees brought together the “Abnae Fez” Association for People with Special Needs and the Renaissance Association of Agadir for People with Special Needs.
The Renaissance Association of Agadir of football for people with special needs won the title of the Trone Cup of football for amputees.
The final match of the Deaf-Mutes Football Throne Cup was played between the Al Ittihad Sports Club of Tetouan and the Deaf-Mutes Al Ittihad Sports Association, which won the title of the Deaf-Mutes Football Throne Cup. deaf and dumb.
The basketball team of the Souss Agadir Sports Association for Disabled People achieved the double by winning the Wheelchair Basketball Throne Cup title on Saturday, after beating the “Abnae” of Bogaz Tangier in the final meeting, which saw great rivalry and was decided by the Souss representative in the last round by 45 baskets against 42 baskets.
In the Wheelchair Basketball competition, the Souss Sports Association of Disabled People of Agadir won the Wheelchair Basketball Throne Cup and doubles title for the 2024/2023 sports season.
Hamid El Aouni, President of the FRMSPSH, as well as Abderazak El Akkari, Director of Sports, and other personalities attended the coronation ceremony.
Hamid Aouni stressed that the FRMSPSH organizes the Throne Cup finals every year for team games, and the events go well, thanks to the concertation of all efforts.
The success of this ceremony, which promotes Paralympic sports, especially after Morocco’s good results at the Paris Paralympic Games, where the champions won 15 medals, which gives a good image of sport in our country, with a view to hosting by the Kingdom of the 2030 World Cup under the wise leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI and his visionary vision of sport as a center of economic and human development.
