MC Algiers lost this evening at home to Al Hilal of Sudan with a score of 1-0 during the third day of the Champions League.
At the start of the match Delort delivered a powerful strike which the goalkeeper deflected (10th) but subsequently it was the hosts who proved to be the most dangerous offensively. At the half-hour mark, Algerian goalkeeper Ramdane, who released a ball from a cross, recovered well by defending upright (33rd).
In the second period it’s not much better on the Moulodia side and Al Hilal will end up opening the score by the Mauritanian Guessmousa Fofana with a header on a free kick from playmaker Abdelrahman (76th). It is only from this moment that the MCA will really push by launching a second acant-center with Bayazid.
In the 80th minute Akram Bouras is on the verge of equalizing but he gets in the way with Delort who touches the ball with his hand.
It’s a big disappointment for the Algerian club which can still rejoice in the draw between TP Mazembe and Young African, which allows it to remain second in the standings of group A with points before traveling to Khartoum at the beginning of January.
