The National Hockey League (NHL) will reveal the best players of the last 25 years for each team at the end of the month, it revealed on Saturday.

During this campaign aimed at honoring the most notable tour athletes of the first quarter of a century, the NHL will present daily a hockey player who was the most convincing in a specific training, from December 30 to January 31. The identity of the representatives of the St. Louis Blues and the Chicago Blackhawks, the two clubs who will cross swords at the Winter Classic, will be known during the initial two days of the process. As for the Montreal Canadiens, we will have to wait until January 19 before knowing the names of the most deserving skaters.
For each organization in the league, it will be a matter of disclosing the first and second teams of the 25 inaugural years of the 21st century: each of them will include three attackers, two defenders and a goalkeeper. A group made up of members of the media, retired players and managers specific to the club concerned will be called upon to select the athletes.
Subsequently, the NHL will begin a second phase, this time consisting of determining the league’s best team for the given period. From February 12 to 26, fans will be able to vote online by nominating 25 players, regardless of position. The last step will be the presentation of these, which will take place in March.
