The Champions League has taken a new form which replaces the old group stage, knowing that the first eight teams in the standings are directly qualified for the round of 16, with the advantage of hosting at home during the return match. The teams ranked from 9th to 16th place will have to play a round-trip play-off, with the assurance of playing the return match at home, against the teams ranked from 17th to 24th place.
