Due to a leak from its portholes, this pool is closed to the public. Today, the pool has a waterproofing problem. Before, there was a drain error then a pipe break. Since its inauguration in 2022, the Claire Supiot aquatic center continues the waves of closures to the great dismay of the mayor.
“For 30 years, we have not had a swimming pool and when we have one, it cannot be open and provide the services for which it was built. Children are penalized”, declares Michel Fourcade, mayor (PS) of Pierrefitte-sur-Seine (33,400 inhabitants) which is not slowing down.
The builder of the swimming pool is Myrtha Pools and its Italian CEO Roberto Colletto. The latter proudly presented a few months ago, two ephemeral pools installed at the Défense Arena manufactured for the Olympic Games. Pools which then moved to Sevran and Bagnolet.
In Pierrefitte-sur-Seine, the aquatic center cost the Department of Seine-Saint-Denis 20 million euros and according to this opponent, elected to the municipal council of Pierrefitte-sur-Seine, the quality is not there. YOU. “If we look around the outside, it’s already full of poor workmanship. The plaster is coming off in places, the finishes are really very ugly (…) From the start, there was no control” affirms Roman Potel opposing SE.
“In Pierrefitte, it’s a town where people can come and build things, do them very poorly and leave, making money without any control“, he adds.
The manager who owns the site, the Plaine commune intermunicipality and the client, the Department of Seine-Saint-Denis, did not wish to react.
