Leader of the Challenge League, Thun went a third consecutive match without a victory. Mauro Lustrinelli’s squad drew 1-1 on the pitch at Stade Lausanne-Ouchy on Friday evening.

Thun even had to fight until the end to get a point. The Bernese equalized in the 87th with a success from Sessolo, while SLO opened the scoring in the 23rd thanks to a header from Mahmoud. Second in the ranking, Étoile Carouge will therefore return to Thun in the event of success on Saturday in Vaduz.

New Neuchâtel defeat

Neuchâtel Xamax, for its part, conceded a fifth defeat in its last six outings on Friday. The Rouge et Noir lost 3-1 at La Maladière against Aarau, after having opened the scoring in the 2nd minute. Xamax, 6th in the ranking, finds itself four lengths from Aarau and eight from Thun.

Stade Nyonnais has also given up the red lantern. Coach Christophe Caschili’s men won 1-0 on the Schaffhausen pitch, now last in the standings, thanks to a success from Elias Pasche in the 30th minute.
