Gimnastic de Tarragona, first Spanish club to file a complaint against a referee

On June 22, Mallo Fernandez refereed the second division final between Gimnastic de Tarragona and Málaga CF (2-1 for Malaga in the first leg). After regulation time ended with a score of 2-1 for Tarragona, who were playing this return match at home, the extra time ended with the equalizer in the 120th + 2 for the visitors, against a team from Nastic reduced to ten from the hour mark, depriving them of a promotion to Liga2.
