After another missed penalty by their French striker, the Merengue fell again this Wednesday in the championship on the pitch of the Athletic Club (1-2).
When it doesn't work… Winner of Getafe (2-0) last Sunday, Real Madrid failed to continue this Wednesday on the Bilbao pitch in the advanced match of the 19th day of La Liga. If he came away with a draw at the break, Ancelotti's players paid for their repeated mistakes after returning from the locker room. Rough run, missed shot and ball stopped without problem by Agirrezabala who wasn't asking for that much.
If the in-form Real man Jude Bellingham equalized for his team (78'), on the following action, Real made another error. Valverde, confident in himself, wanted to try a small bridge over Guruzeta in a dangerous area. Missed gesture and ball recovered for the Basque player who went all the way to beat Courtois with a flat foot (83').
With their defeat, Real remains 4 points behind FC Barcelona, leader of Liga, but still has a match in hand to play.
