A nurse from the Jean-Verdier hospital in (Seine-Saint-Denis) was indicted and imprisoned for rape and sexual assault on a vulnerable person, after a 15-year-old patient denounced his actions, said Friday evening the prosecutor's office.

A judicial investigation has been opened. “If this nurse has been working in the pediatric emergency room for seven or eight years, we wonder whether there have not been other victims. The judicial information will allow us to investigate whether it is a predator,” underlines Alexandre Lobry, lawyer for the teenager and her family.

Welcoming the placement of the 37-year-old nurse in pre-trial detention, the lawyer testifies to the “state of astonishment” of the young girl. “She doesn't speak, she is traumatized. The parents are confused: they don’t understand that it happened in a hospital and by a member of the hospital staff,” he adds.

The nurse was arrested Tuesday evening around 7 p.m. as he arrived to take his shift at the Assistance publique – Hôpitaux de (AP-HP) establishment. He is suspected of having, the previous night, entered the room of the teenager hospitalized in the structure.

“On Sunday, the respondent was very tactile with my client, he allowed himself to touch her, she had alerted the health personnel”, in vain, described Me Lobry. Then “on Monday evening, the nurse came into the young girl’s room, took off her glasses and took her cell phone to put the flash in her face, in order to force oral sex on her,” he said. -he related.

In the hours following the incident, the victim suffered a panic attack, which alerted medical teams. They then called the police.
