Young RSCA Futures talent Ludovic Wola-Wetshay can count on foreign interest. Antwerp had already tried to poach the Neerpede product.
Ludovic Wola-Wetshay (18 years old) is a name that will only speak for the moment to attentive followers of RSCA Futures in Challenger Pro League. Young central defender, Wola-Wetshay is an integral part of Jelle Coen’s core, but has so far only played 3 matches with the Futures.
Joined the squad from the U18s last summer, Ludovic Wola-Wetshay started in the first match of the season. He then played twice in recent weeks against Seraing and Lokeren-Temse.
According to our information, Wola-Wetshay could, however, despite this little playing time, count on significant interest from abroad. In Italy, in particular, its unique profile is attractive. This Belgian U20 international is in fact a left-handed central defender, which does not run the streets.
Holder in U19… under the new assistant of David Hubert
In recent years, before he joined the A team, Ludovic Wola-Wetshay had also been able to count on a diligent court from Antwerp, which saw the arrival of the former boss of Neerpede Jean Kindermans at the head of his academy. The native of Jette, however, preferred to continue his development in Anderlecht.
There is now no indication that Wola-Wetshay will leave the Futures in the coming months. The new policy of Olivier Renard, who recently said he wanted to invest a little more in the reserve team, could also play a role. Note also that David Hubert’s new assistant, Jonathan Alves, knows the player well having recently coached him with the Belgian U19s, even making him a starter.
