One of the best wingers in the world has reportedly declined Arsenal’s interest in a possible recruitment as early as January.
For many seasons, Arsenal aims to win the title. However, facing them is the incredible Manchester City. The team coached by Pep Guardiola seems unstoppable for the title. However, this season, the Citizens showed that they were very human. With four consecutive defeats in the league, Manchester is in 5th place. The Gunners can now retrace their path back to the Premier League. But when City is not there, it’s Liverpool’s turn to become an unbeatable team again.
After a few complicated matches for Arsenal, the Londoners were finally able to regain important points in the championship. But to compete with the current leader, significant reinforcements are expected for the rest of the season. Currently, one of the club’s priorities would be to recruit a new star in attacking positions. Arsenal reportedly targeting number tenAC Milan, Rafael Leao. The Portuguese seems to be at the end of his cycle with the Italian team. The Londoners approached the Portuguese for recruitment this winter, but the star of the Lombard team would have refused the interest of the Gunners.
A departure for Rafael Leão ?
Under contract until 2028, Rafael Leão appears to be leaving AC Milan. Big star of the club, his current season leaves something to be desired, notably because of his relationship with coach Paolo Fonseca. The player could therefore join a new club this summer, and a Spanish club would be in pole position since it would be his dream to play there. But for Arsenal, Leão doesn’t seem interested.
At the club since 2019, the end of the cycle could already have arrived for Rafael Leão. However, a winter departure is not an option for the Milan club, who do not want to let him leave during the season. We will have to follow the evolution of Leão’s case, who could well join a new big team this summer.
