SWITZERLAND – 24 players called for the SWISS Ice Hockey Games in Friborg

Head coach Patrick Fischer has announced his selection for the SWISS Ice Hockey Games, which will be held from December 12 to 15, 2024 at the BCF Arena in Fribourg.

Patrick Fischer has called up two goalkeepers, eight defensemen and 14 forwards for the second Euro Hockey Tour (EHT) tournament. In addition to experienced players like Christoph Bertschy et Dean Kukan (103 international matches each) or Fabrice Herzog (93), the selection also includes elements less experienced at international level, such as the two goalkeepers Stéphane Charlin (7) et Ludovic Waeber (5) as well as the 21-year-old attacker Attilio Biasca (6).

Michael Liniger and Fabio Schumacher as assistant coaches

During these SWISS Ice Hockey Games, Patrick Fischer will be assisted by Michael Liniger and Fabio Schumacher. Liniger, 44, is an assistant coach at EV Zug and was part of the coaching team when he won silver medals at the WCs in Prague and Ostrava. Schumacher, for his part, is currently head coach of the Swiss U18 national team.

Signing session on Wednesday December 11, 2024

Anyone wishing to get up close and personal with the national team players, for once without equipment and on the sidelines of the ice rink, should reserve the date for Wednesday December 11, 2024. A signing session will be held from 1:30 p.m. at the Sport Café of the BCF Arena. In addition to obtaining autograph cards from their favorite players, fans will have the opportunity to exchange a few words or take a selfie with one of the players present.
