The Jaraaf of Dakar announced on its social networks that as part of the group stage of the African Football Confederation Cup (CAF), it will play its home matches at the Abdoulaye-Wade stadium in Diamniadio, where it will play USM Alger on Sunday.
Scheduled for 4 p.m. GMT, the meeting against the Algerian club counts for the second day of group matches of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Cup.
The Jaraaf of Dakar has indicated that it will continue to host at the Abdoulaye-Wade stadium in Diamniadio for its other matches counting for the same competition.
Jaraaf and USM Alger are in Pool C of the group stages of the African Football Confederation Cup.
USM Alger won the 2023 edition of the African Football Confederation Cup and the CAF Super Cup in the same year.
The Algerian club is considered one of the best teams in Algeria, with eight national championship titles and eight Algerian Cups.
Jaraaf was beaten (0-2) by ASEC Mimosas last Tuesday, as part of the first day of the group stages of the African Football Confederation Cup.
The Dakar club is housed in group C, along with USM Alger, ASEC and Orapa United (Bostwana).
Founded in 2012 after the merger of five football clubs from the Orapa region, the latter club won the Botswana Cup in 2019.
The Botswanan club, like Jaraaf, has not yet won anything on the African level.
Jaraaf will hold its match eve press conference at 11 a.m. at the Abdoulaye-Wade stadium in Diamniadio.
