Without a doubt, the match between Brive and Montauban will be exciting. Because the two teams do not lack assets.
On the one hand, Brive is 3rd in the ranking. The Black and Whites have had two victories in a row, and above all, they have been unbeaten at home since the start of the season. Five wins out of five matches and 3 offensive bonus points.
Facing them, the opponent will be tough. Montauban, who came close to relegation last season, is second in the standings. They are even the team in form in this championship, with seven wins for one defeat with defensive bonus over the last eight matches. “It’s impressive what they’ve done since the start of the season”notes Joe Worsley, the defense coach.
And they don’t intend to let it happen. In Rugbyrama, Johann Snyman, 2nd line of Montauban, declares “Losing in Brive is not an option.”
But Brive is solid. And will have to string together performances “we will have to be strong for the next four weeks”, indicates Rahboni Wosayaco, 3rd line of the CAB, because the schedule is busy. After Montauban, it is the reception of Béziers, the 5th, then the trip to Grenoble, the leader, which receives Colomiers on Friday at the end of this 12th day.
Only two points separate Brive from Montauban.
The meeting will kick off this Thursday, November 28 at 9 p.m.
