N2: Dinan Léhon defeated by Saint-Brieuc in the Costa Rican derby

Stade Briochin emerged victorious from the Costa Rican derby, at the end of a meeting lacking in chances. Dinan Léhon has a third consecutive defeat.

N2 (10th day). Dinan Léhon – Stade Briochin: 0-1

The Dinannais have not yet recovered from their last two heavy defeats in the league against Saint-Pryvé (0-4) and Saint-Malo (3-0). The derby at home against Briochins, also in a bad position in the standings, could have allowed Dinan to get back on track but this was not the case. In a tough and contested match, it was the incoming Briochin Gomis, who came to light up this meeting with a perfect sequence to deceive Pistol, not worried until then, with a subtle left outside (0-1, 70′). The Briochin coach, Guillaume Allanou, still suspended and who gave his instructions from the stand of Clos Gastel analyzed at the end of the match: “It was a closed and tactical match, low in chances but we expected that, because Dinan remained on seven goals conceded in two games so they wanted to reassure themselves on this defensive aspect. »

“It’s hard to swallow”

Dinan Léhon saw his attacks in the Briochine area all repelled by L’Hostis. The Briochin goalkeeper intervened in front of Kitenge (61′), Valla (62′) then Faty (89′), to allow Saint-Brieuc to glean its fourth victory of the season, the third away. “I am very happy with my group this evening because we leave without conceding any goals. We have restarted a dynamic, which is not easy in this group of N2, where the level is very homogeneous”, underlined the Briochin technician. For his part, Stéphane Lamant, summed up: “It’s difficult to swallow because we at least tied the game and I think the draw point would have been deserved for us. We were interesting in holding the ball but, as since the start of the season, we lacked finishing. » The Dinan coach still put things into perspective: “If we show as much heart and desire as we did this evening in the next matches, we will win, so we have to keep the positive. We gave them tactical problems, we must continue in this direction and it will end up paying off. »

After 10 league matches, DLFC only has 10 points. “It’s insufficient but the season is long,” said Stéphane Lamant. A trip to the Coupe de next weekend could allow the Dinannais to get back on track, trying to get rid of Milizac, an old acquaintance from N3.
