After the success of season 1 of “Kalina – The treasure of the ancestors” in October 2023, the adventure and discovery game experienced a season 2 which saw the victory of the Martinique team. In this 2024 edition, broadcast on television from October 4 to November 22, 2024, the candidates had to find the hidden treasure of the Kalinagos on the island of Dominica. Dany, a member of the Martinican team, shares her joy at having won the victory as well as her enthusiasm for having lived an experience rich in strong emotions.
A second season which, as a reminder, saw four mixed teams compete, each made up of four candidates coming from three overseas territories (Martinique, Guadeloupe, Mayotte) and mainland France (Marseille).
Sixteen candidates who expressed their qualities in the heart of natural sites, in a competition certainly made up of physical and sporting tests, but also of logic and general knowledge.

Dany does not hide her satisfaction at having won victory alongside her teammates. Whose cohesion and determination he salutes.
I was very happy to win this victory. I had a very good team, and we were very confident from the start. One of our team members, Luddy, taught us to have one vision. And that’s what paid off in this competition: unity.
Apart from archery, which he says he never practiced before “Kalina”, Dany confides that he has not experienced any great difficulties in physical and sporting events. Particularly those which took place in an environment that he particularly likes.
We were all athletes on the team, so it was more the physical side that was in our favor. I’m used to doing a lot of hiking, so when we had events in the forest, I was completely in my element. I didn’t know Dominica and I plan to return there. There are impressive sites, it’s really beautiful.
Every Friday, the day this second season aired, all of Dany’s loved ones, family and friends, were glued to their screens to support him. And probably to encourage him, even from a distance. A competitor who further emphasizes that this type of adventure game, taking place in the Antilles and in our immediate geographical environment, is more than welcome.
It’s super interesting to have this type of program too, especially with the possibilities we have in the Caribbean, because we have such beautiful sites and landscapes. It’s really fun and I think Kalina will create more and more buzz as time goes on. Besides, I know that there are many other Martinicans who want to register for this game and above all to participate in it.
We can bet that this Martinican victory in this season 2 will arouse many desires to surpass oneself. And discovery of the “Treasure of the Ancestors”.
