The Canadian has no excuse for injuries this season

If the Canadian is not #DanceLeMix Right now, it’s definitely not due to injuries.

Obviously, you will tell me that Patrik Laine and Rafaël Harvey-Pinard have not yet played a match this season. You could even tell me that Carey Price– ah and let it happen.

But Harvey-Pinard wouldn’t have changed everything…and neither would Laine, considering he was coming back from injury avant to get hurt again. He wouldn’t have broken everything in the first 20 games.

But let’s get back to what happened in 20 games.

When we look at the start of the Flannel season, we realize that the 2021-2022 and 2022-2023 seasons, which were injury festivals, are not being repeated this year.

In fact, we’re closer to last year’s standards, when the guys stayed healthy. Thanks to Jim Ramsay, then.

No less than 11 players (five center players, four wingers and two defenders) did not have to sit out at all this year. It helps to have a little stability, right?

David Savard only missed one game due to injury and Juraj Slafkovsky only missed three. Emil Heineman (one match) and Arber Xhekaj (three matches) did not play all the matches, but they were not injured.

Jayden Struble, Kaiden Guhle and Justin Barron have been injured here and there, but nothing too long-term. But otherwise, the other players remained healthy.

My point is this: the Canadian does not have the excuse of injuries this season. Obviously, there are undoubtedly little bugs here and there, but you see that everywhere across the NHL.

We must look elsewhere to explain the club’s setbacks. Effort is a more… plausible answer, let’s say.
