The information was sent Tuesday morning by various local soccer associations to parents whose children were scheduled to participate in an event this weekend with the world soccer champion.
“Yes, that’s what we learned yesterday (Monday) from the promoter. It’s only a postponement,” confirmed Elainie Lepage, press secretary to the mayor of Quebec, Bruno Marchand, to the Journal.

In the email addressed to parents, it is said that the event in which the star player was to participate is postponed to January without providing a specific date.
“Please be assured that all tickets will remain allocated to teams who have received their confirmation, as long as the team will still be available for this event,” we wrote.
