Tierno creates surprise by eliminating Puccinelli in the 32nd final
One of the favourite teams for the World Pétanque Championship ended up losing 13-7 on Tuesday at the end of a tight game.

Jean-Michel Puccinelli, one of the big favorites of the World Cup, was eliminated on Tuesday July 2nd, in the 32nd final by the triplet of Marc Tierno 13-7. - Big disappointment for Puccinelli. Despite a “dream team”, Jean-Michel Puccinelli had rebuilt his legendary team that won the 2020 and 2021 editions of La Marseillaise à pétanque, the tournament favorite fell. However, he was accompanied by Ludovic Montoro and Benji Renaud who had put his career on hold for personal reasons since 2021.
- Tierno well accompanied. At the head of this trio which won without any problems on Monday on the annex ground, Marc Tierno (pointer) counts in his ranks Tyson Molinas (winner of the World Cup with Jean-Michel Puccinelli in 2018) and the complete Sébastien Rousseau.
