A few hours before the shock of their elders, in the Champions League, the young guns of Paris Saint-Germain will also have a hard time facing one of the big names in the category. Tuesday afternoon in Germany, the PSG U19s face Bayern Munich on home soil, for the 5th and penultimate day of the Youth League.
During the previous day, David Suarez’s youngsters had won their first success in the competition against Madrid’s Atlético (4-2). A victory which allows them to still believe in qualification for the knockout phase, almost unexpected given the first three matches (2 defeats, 1 draw). Now 23rd in the ranking, they have two trips left (with Salzburg closing) to at least get a glimpse of the 16th.
The task will not be easy since the two teams are among the top eight in the competition. As a reminder, the 22 best clubs after the six days will qualify for the sixteenths, where they will meet the 10 qualified clubs via the national champions route.
The Bayern Munich-PSG U19 kick-off is scheduled for 4 p.m. this Tuesday, November 26. The match will be watched on television on Canal + Foot.
