The best player on paper in the John Deere Classic field, Patrick Cantlay will not play in the tournament. Cam Davis also missed out.

There was supposed to be a player from the world’s top 20 at TPC Deere Run This week, there will ultimately be none. Due to an injury, Patrick Cantlay has gone out of the field of John Deere Classicwon last year by Sepp Strakawho will be there to defend his title. The current ninth in the world has been replaced by the Scot Russell Knox.

Cam Davis skips out
