The grand mass of pétanque. In Marseille, more than 4,500 teams take part in the Mondial La Marseillaise à pétanque, the most famous French competition in the discipline. For all enthusiasts, this is the event of the year.
The kick-off for the Mondial La Marseillaise was given on Monday, June 30 and will end on July 3. Additional events began on June 28. The competition will take place mainly at Parc Borély in Marseille, but also on other grounds in the city.
In 2023, the trio of David Riviera, Mickael Bonetto and Mayron Baudino had prevailed over strong adversity. Sabine Fara, Stéphanie Fournier and Mélanie Jullien had won the Women’s Grand Prix.
