Official Mercedes-AMG driver Jules Gounon will serve as crew captain in the Mercedes. “I’m very happy to be back with the guys from 2 Seas Motorsport, rejoices Jules Gounon. We did a great job together last year in Abu Dhabi, winning the Intercontinental GT Challenge title, so it’s great to be back. I’m also very excited to be joining the Grove family for this event – we’ve worked hard for a while to make it possible to race together, and so I’m delighted that we’ve been able to make this happen for the 12 Hours of Abu Dhabi. I’m really looking forward to a great weekend with everyone and hope we can take something home to end the year with. »

“In my opinion, the Abu Dhabi 12 Hours is a real highlight of the racing calendar, said Isa Al Khalifa, co-owner of 2 Seas Motorsport. I’ve had great success competing and it’s always a fantastic event to watch. We are currently in a boom time in terms of GT3 racing, with strong grids and fantastic series across the world, and we are proud to be a part of it, competing at the highest level. It’s fantastic to have Jules back with us this year, after we raced together last year and helped him win his Intercontinental GT Challenge title, and it’s great to welcome Stephen and Brenton on the team. They have established themselves as a formidable force over the years, both globally and domestically, and it is an exciting proposition to work with them and support their efforts as we attempt to win a third 12 Hours title. Abu Dhabi. »
