Next Sunday, the Tour du Carmausin Ségala will host a round of the U19 French Cup for the second time.
This event continues to mark its territory a little more. And to establish itself in the cycling landscape. For its 4th edition, scheduled for Sunday, the Tour du Carmausin Ségala will be the scene of the 4th round of the Coupe de France U19, which corresponds to the regional selections of the best cyclists in the category. This is the second time, after 2022, that the French Cycling Federation has placed its trust in Ségala Cyclisme Organisation (SCO), the club organizing the event. “We are delighted because this rewards our work. Teams, who are invited to international races, often tell us that we have an organization at the level of international events. And that is our goal”, rejoices Nicolas Sigal, treasurer of the SCO.
And this year, setting up the event has been a challenge. The Olympic Games and the second round of the legislative elections have necessarily limited human resources, but the club has managed to hold on. Nearly 200 volunteers will be on hand on Sunday to ensure the smooth running of the race.

A race that will be lively. “The riders will be riding on a course with almost no respite,” observes Nicolas Sigal. “But there are no huge difficulties either. Victory will go to a complete rider.” The Tour du Carmausin Ségala, supported by the Department and the community of communes of Carmausin Ségala, will set off on Sunday at 12:30 p.m. from Mirandol-Bourgnounac, with an expected finish in Carmaux around 3:30 p.m. This year, the course has been extended by a few kilometers (to reach 129.8 km) and has a positive elevation gain of 1,600 m.
