Switzerland, surprise guest

After winning only one match out of three in their group stage (against Hungary, 3-1), the Nati managed the feat of beating Italy in the round of 16 (2-0). The Swiss team will have to deliver its best performance again in the quarter-finals because it will face England with Harry Kane and Jude Bellingham on Saturday at 6 p.m. The British beat Slovakia (2-1) in a suspenseful game after resorting to extra time.

Germany, in poor form, facing an indomitable ‘Roja’

The host country suffered a scare against Denmark but managed to win (2-0). The Mannschaft conceded the opening goal before VAR disallowed the Danish goal for a positional offside. A penalty then allowed the Germans to take the lead, before doubling their lead.

Spain conceded the opening goal against the surprising Georgians before rolling out their football and scoring goals (4-1). Nico Williams and Lamine Yamal, respectively scorer and assist provider, amazed the football world. Rodri, author of the equalizer with a powerful strike, was elected man of the match.

The Blues meet Portugal again

Didier Deschamps’ French team, who won against Belgium on Monday (1-0, own goal by Vertonghen), will face the Portuguese, as in the Euro 2016 final. At the time, they lost (1-0). They will have the opportunity to take their revenge on Friday evening. The Seleçao beat Slovenia on penalties after a match that ended in a goalless draw (0-0, 3TAB0).
