Nice, led by its new coach Franck Haise, resumed with a battery of physical and medical tests, with its veteran captain, Dante, and its French international central defender, Jean-Clair Todibo, on Monday at its training center on the Var plain.
Dante still there, the internationals absent
The medical and performance departments carried out medical and physical tests on 24 players from the Nice squad, four of whom (the Italian Viti, the Algerians Bouanani and Brahimi, as well as the Romanian Ilie) were returning from loan.

Among the group present for this resumption, captain Dante, who will be 41 years old in October and who extended his contract for one season last May, was accompanied, among others, by Jean-Clair Todibo, but also numerous executives from the team, such as Morgan Sanson, Melvin Bard, Youssouf Ndayishimiye or Pablo Rosario.
Some very promising youngsters, including Polish goalkeeper Bartosz Zelazowski, 18, but also central defender Amidou Doumbouya, 16, midfielder Daouda Traoré, 17, and Nigerian striker Victor Orakpo, 18, were invited to this premiere.

African internationals Terem Moffi (Nigeria), Jérémie Boga and Evann Guessand (Côte d’Ivoire), Ayoub Amraoui (Morocco) and Aliou Baldé (Guinea), who played matches with their national teams after the end of the last championship, will resume on Wednesday, the day of the first official training session on the field.
Finally, Polish goalkeeper Marcin Bulka, who played in the Euro in Germany with his national team, and midfielder Khéphren Thuram, who will play in the Olympic Games with the French team, are expected later.
Before leaving for training in Austria from July 22 to 27, Nice will play two friendly matches at the performance center, against the Swiss from Lausanne, on July 10, and against the Spaniards from Leganes, on July 19.
