Nassim Ouammou, a versatile 31-year-old left defender, has signed up for two seasons with FC Sochaux-Montbéliard, plus one as an option.

Born and trained in Saint-Étienne, Nassim Ouammou played for 10 seasons at the Verts training center. At 17, he discovered the Firminy club before moving to Portugal for three seasons at CS Marítimo.

The defender returned to his native department at the Andrézieux-Bouthéon FC club, where he discovered the National 3 championship for two seasons before joining Marseille Consolat in the National. At the end of the season, the club narrowly missed promotion to Ligue 2, and the Franco-Moroccan defender decided to go down a level by signing in the east of France, at FC Mulhouse.

In Alsace, the versatile defender had a full season with 27 matches under his belt and scored 3 goals. His good performances caught the eye of Rodez, who had just been promoted to National. In Aveyron, for his return to National, he played 22 matches and scored his first goal at this level against US Boulogne. In the summer of 2018, Nassim Ouammou joined the Boulogne club for a season before returning to Rodez Aveyron Football, which had just obtained its promotion to Ligue 2.

He played his first minutes in the second division against La Berrichonne de Châteauroux on the 2nd day of the championship. A real Swiss army knife on his left side under the orders of Laurent Peyrelade, he would play more than 100 professional matches in four seasons at RAF, scoring 3 goals and providing 9 assists.

Transferred to Maccabi Netanya in the winter of 2023, the player played 45 matches and contributed to a 4th place in the championship during his first season.

Released from his contract, Nassim Ouammou joins FC Sochaux-Montbéliard where he will wear number 7.
