70 crews will be able to register for this 93rd edition of the rally, with an entry fee of 4,000 euros for a private competitor. The rally will take place from January 23 to 26.
Entries for competitors wishing to participate in the 93rd edition of the Monte-Carlo rally are officially open, the Automobile Club of Monaco (ACM) informed this Wednesday, November 20. Those who wish to compete against Sébastien Ogier, Thierry Neuville, Ott Tänak or even Elfyn Evans now have until Friday December 20, midnight, to apply.
70 crews can register and, like every year, there will be some disappointed since the ACM reserves the right to refuse crews due to lack of sufficient space at the service park in Gap.
Excluding WRC, WRC 2 and WRC3, entry fees amount to 4,000 euros for a private competitor, and 8,400 euros for a legal entity as a competitor (a manufacturer team, a team or a company with a corresponding international license )
As a reminder, the 93rd Monte-Carlo rally will take place from January 20 to 26, 2025. The service park will be like last year in Gap, near the nautical stadium. A real success for its first installation last year, the fanzone will be deployed again not far from Bernard Givaudan Park.
A program provided in the Southern Alps
In the wake of the reconnaissance, scheduled from Monday January 20 to Wednesday January 22, the competitors authorized to start will have for the very first time the opportunity to assess themselves in racing conditions during the tune-up session. (also called the “Shakedown”, with a distance of 3.28 kilometers), which will start from 4:01 p.m. on the afternoon of Wednesday January 22.
This is the same route introduced in 2017, which takes the Route de la Garde in Gap, stopover town, host of the event from 2014 to 2021 and again selected since 2024.
The official start of this 93rd edition of the Monte-Carlo Automobile Rally is scheduled for the following day, Thursday January 23 at 2:30 p.m., from Place du Casino in Monaco.
On the program for this first 100% nighttime stage, three timed special stages, totaling 54.16 kilometers, will take place in the departments of Alpes-de-Haute-Provence and Hautes-Alpes. These very complex special stages, those of “Digne-les-Bains / Chaudon-Norante” (ES 1 – 19.01 km – 6:05 p.m.), of “Faucon-du-Caire / Bréziers” (ES 2 – 21.18 km – 7:53 p.m. ) and “Avançon / NotreDame-du-Laus” (SS 3 – 13.97 km – 9:06 p.m.), are intended to be difficult, particularly in terms of choice of tires. These first three stages should already make it possible to establish a first significant hierarchy in the general classification.
A Drôme getaway on Saturday, before returning from the Southern Alps on Sunday
The Hautes-Alpes and the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence will then host the second day of racing, Friday January 24, totaling 107.34 kilometers against the clock. With a loop of three special stages to be contested twice, made up of “Saint-Maurice / Aubessagne”, “Saint-Léger-les-Mélèzes / La Bâtie-Neuve” and “La Bréole / Quellenet”, this second stage will not be will only confirm the increasing pace of difficulties.
The third day of racing, Saturday January 25, will be mainly from Drôme, for a total of 131.40 timed kilometers. With a loop of three special stages to be completed twice, this day is undoubtedly the most difficult for the crews. On the program, the special stages of “La Motte-Chalancon/Saint-Nazaire-le-Désert” followed by the new “Aucelon/Recoubeau-Jansac” and finally “La Bâtie-des-Fonts/Aspremont”.
To conclude, on Sunday January 26, three stopwatches totaling 50.90 kilometers will be raced between Gap and Monaco. This final contest will take place between the timed sectors of “Avançon/Notre-Dame-du-Laus” then “Digne-les-Bains/Chaudon-Norante” and finally “La Bollène-Vésubie/Peïra-Cava” which will serve as from Power Stage. The prize giving ceremony will take place on the Place du Casino de Monaco, from 4:15 p.m.
