Between Rouen and Chamonix, the roles have been reversed. The Dragons, in difficulty at the start of the season, had regained momentum with four consecutive victories; conversely, the Pioneers, after a promising start, suffered four defeats in a row. Tuesday evening, however, it was Chamonix who took the upper hand on the Rouennais ice, winning on penalties (4-3). Trailing 3-1 at the start of the final third, the double reigning French champions managed to equalize, before seeing Nils Carnback, the only scorer in the penalty shootout, offer victory to Chamonix.
