The Cherbourgeoises are playing on slippery ground. The US La Glacerie Basketball, lhe Cherbourg-En-Cotentin basketball club in Manche has been going through a major financial crisis for more than four years and has been placed in receivership proceedings.

The emblematic Cotentin club has long campaigned for high-level women’s sport in the region. So, everything is good to do to make up the deficit: search for new private partners, patrons, reduction of internal costs or even support from local authorities and departmental authorities.
In addition to these avenues, the USLG launched a call for donations on its social networks, this Monday, November 18, 2024. An online prize pool is available on the HelloAsso website, it will be there until December 31. The president recalls that a tax reduction applies to donations from individuals, for example, if you wish to donate €300, €200 will be deducted from your taxes.

The president of the club ensures that the athletes remain focused on their game and do not have to worry about the club’s financial difficulties.
