The Lebrun brothers are served! Engaged in these WTT Finals, an event which brings together the best players in the world for four days in Fukuoka, Japan, their entry into the competition proves to be tough. They inherited a very complicated table for this last tournament of the year 2024, from November 20 to 24.

Alexis Lebrun facing world number two, Félix has revenge to take

We found it easier to get started. Alexis Lebrun will face a mountain for his first round. The German is certainly “only” 18^e world, but he recently beat the Frenchman in the quarter-finals of the European Championship. Olympic vice-champion, Truls Moregard could also face Félix Lebrun in the semi-final.

As a reminder, the WTT Finals bring together the 16 best players in the world on the circuit, but two places were freed up after the withdrawals of Fan Zhendong (3^e) and Ma Long (8^e).

Two French pairs in doubles

If the Lebrun siblings will try to assume their status as world number two in doubles, by being opposed to the Japanese Sora Matsushima and Tomokazu Harimoto in the first round, there will be other French people present in this table.

The other French duo, composed of Esteban Dorr and Florian Bourrassaud, will face Ho Kwan Kit and Lam Siu Hang.

This is good news for anyone who wants to follow the Lebrun brothers’ matches. Alexis and Félix will begin the WTT Finals this Wednesday, November 20 late morning in France, both in singles and doubles.

At 12:20 p.m., Alexis Lebrun will face Lin Shidong. A few moments later, at 12:45 p.m. French time, Félix Lebrun will enter the fray against the German Benedikt Duda. But it will already be the second match of the day for the Lebruns, opposed in doubles, at 8:10 a.m., to the pair Sora Matsushima – Tomokazu Harimoto.

The other French pair will play at 1:45 p.m. against the Taiwanese Ho Kwan Kit and Lam Siu Hang.
