Michy Batshuayi has played very little since his arrival at Galatsaray. But his situation could well change.
Since the start of the season, Michy Batshuayi only started twice in the Turkish championship. In addition to attracting the wrath of Fenerbahce supporters, Batsman finds himself facing competition from Victor Osimhen and Mauro Icardi. At Fener’, it was the Tadic – Dzeko duo who passed him in front.
But just before the international break, Icardi was seriously injured. He will be absent all season. The opportunity for Batshuayi to establish himself in the attacking duo with Osimhen.

Except that during the championship match three days later, the Nigerian was lined up alone at the forefront of the attack. Batshuayi once again started on the bench, taking on the role of supersub with a goal on his way into the game.
The duo could, however, see the light of day. Coach Okan Buruk has in fact declared that he plans to evolve with the two men together, relays Galatsaray FR, the X account which follows the news of the Istanbul club.
Batshuayi could thus establish himself as a long-term starter for the first time since the 2021/2022 season, when he played for Besiktas.
