In preparation for the next African Women’s Cup of Nations, which will take place in the Democratic Republic of Congo from November 27 to December 7, 2024, the Lionesses team will carry out its last training course in Thiès, Senegal, informed the Senegalese Handball Federation .
The players will be housed in Thiès and will train at the Diamniadio Exhibition Center in Dakar. The majority of the group is scheduled to arrive at 2 p.m., and the first training sessions will begin on Tuesday, November 19.
For this course, the 19 Lionesses who participated in the previous course in Algiers are retained, in addition to Doungou Camara and the goalkeeper Fama Sall, who is returning to the group, informs the body. Note that Senegal finished in fourth place during the last edition in 2022.
